He has run numerous full and half marathons including Boston and has dedicated his time as a volunteer coach for soccer, track & field and cross country. Saoud is not only a wealth of athletic information but an asset to our coaching team with his experience and passion for the sport.
Jeremy Decot, Assistant Run Coach
Jeremy has been running half marathons for 6 years and last year ran his first of many full marathons to come, which he attributes to being a member of the San Diego Run Club. Fueled by his passion for running and for helping his fellow runners, Jeremy became a Run Coach with the club in February of 2017. Jeremy is on a quest to qualify for Boston and to consistently improve his own running while also inspiring others. While he is one of the slowest paced coaches in the club, he takes that as a positive thing showing the members that there are indeed all levels and we can all continue to push ourselves towards improvement. If he could give everyone one solid piece of advice it would be, “Choose your attitude. I have learned that if I think a run is going to be difficult and not enjoyable, it indeed will be so. The power of positive thought cannot be underestimated in life and in running. While we do have to accept there will be difficult runs, how we view those runs and how we accept them is vital to being consistent and motivated. So crack a smile, take a deep breath, and let’s do this!”
